Seeking 20 Hours of Child Care per week:
Sean and I are seeking child care for our three children at our home starting Tuesday, August 5, 2008. We will need help throughout the school year, with potential for full-time work in the summers. We are seeking care 4 days per week (Tuesday - Friday) from 2pm - 6pm. We live in Marietta / East Cobb county. We have 2 daughters: a 7 year- old in 2nd grade and a 6-year old in 1st grade and a son who is 4 years old and in pre-K.

Responsibilities will include: transporting our son home from pre-K, meeting the girls' school bus at the house, preparing an afternoon snack, supervising play time, and starting/monitoring homework time. We may potentially need transportation to/from after-school activities (i.e. Brownies), though most afternoons will be spent at home.

Ideally, we would like someone to pick-up our son at 2:00pm. The pre-K is 3.5 miles from our house. The girls will arrive home, via school bus, at 2:30pm. Sean and I will arrive home between 5pm and 6pm.

We believe in a philosophy of having fun, being positive, supportive and encouraging to our kids. It is important to us that our kids have a good time, learn a lot and that there is an emphasis on consideration of others and manners. We are looking for someone who enjoys being with children, is interested in explaining and teaching things to them, is patient and kind and will support our rules and discipline efforts.

We will require a valid GA drivers license and DMV driving history. We will check references and conduct a criminal background check. Dependable transportation is required. We may also be able to provide a car/gas for transporting the kids. Pay will be competitive and based upon experience.
